Who do u like better, Tom Welling or Christopher Reeve. Not based on cuteness, based on acting. On being human. Personally I like Tom better because he actually acts like he's human. Christopher Reeve acted completely like an alien. Not human. Clark is full of love and hope. Sometimes he lets people in and Christopher doesn't. Even if he's acting. Thats my opinion anyway. *************** Feedback please!!!! What do u think?  |

I like both Chris Reeve and Tom Welling about equally, although I'm a little inclined to agree with you about Tom Welling's humanity. If Chris Reeve had a flaw in his portrayal of Superman, it's that he was a little TOO perfect. Tom Welling is a little better at illuminating Clark's flaws and internal conflicts without compromising the overall heroic quality of his character. Some of that may be due to the writing, but still...
This only makes it all the more disappointing that TW won't be playing Superman in the new movie! Brandon Routh just doesn't do it for me, not after four whole seasons of Smallville. What they should've done is wait for the series to end and then made a movie starring Tom Welling that focuses on the transition period during which he actually implemented the whole dual-identity system and became Superman (kinda like "Batman Begins").
